FOURTH WALLING Newt's a big fan of pop culture and movies, is a fourth walling nightmare! He would be familiar of nerdy media right up until August, 2013, as well as older films and media. If Newt probably knows your canon, please fill out the following form and post it on here, so I can keep track and make sure I don't accidentally fourth wall players who don't want to! Which is totally cool! This is a list of all the canons he's familiar with in game as well as potential canons he may bring up in conversation. GENERAL CANONS This is just to give an idea of the kind of things he's into. I won't fourth wall somebody unless I've gotten permission, but he may mention other media from his world in passing. Other things may end up being mentioned that aren't listed here: this is just a guideline! ○ Vintage Monster Movies and Science Fiction (Godzilla franchise movies especially, but lots of American monster movies too like Them!, Attack of the 50ft Woman, It Came From Outer Space, Star Trek, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future etc) ○ Comics, Manga Scifi/Fantasy Classics and Shoujo Manga (Marvel, DC, Sailor Moon, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Dragon Ball, Inuyasha, Fruits Basket etc) ○ 90's TV Shows and Anime (Transformers, Pokemon, Digimon, X-Men Cartoon, Fantastic Four, Batman, Johnny Quest, generally anything on Nickeloedeon and Cartoon Network at the time) ○ Tabletop RPGS (Dungeons and Dragons etc) IN GAME CANONS Canons that Newt recognises that are currently IN GAME: ○ Transformers (but only from TV Shows) ○ Star Wars ○ Star Trek (Only Classic Trek) ○ Tron (Only Classic Tron) ○ Marvel (not MCU, only from the 90's TV show) OPT IN OR OUT To let me know if you're cool with being Fourth Walled, or to suggest things Newt might know, please fill out the following form and post it to this journal! Are you comfortable with Newt knowing who your character is? Is it cool for him to know anything about their canon? Lemme know! You can limit what he knows or not allow him to know your character at all. It's all up to you! I don't want to step on any toes. I can also create 'alternate canons' in the case that you don't want him to know your character. Fourth Walling? I usually say no to this but I might consider it depending on how it was going to be used. If Newt can completely keep it to himself (not telling L he knows anything about him, and knowing enough about the canon to know not to tell anybody else anything about L), I might say yes.
If no, would you mind if an alternate canon is mentioned? From everything Newt is likely to find out on the Moira, there wouldn't be any reason for L's world to stand out as anything like any given canon. It should seem like normal Earth.
